how to enable and disable a startup program in winxp
hi all
the startup program is when you open your Pc or LP (laptop) and start the welcome message of windows it open some of unwanted programs let says you dont want the yahoo messenger to be open when you login to your windows desktop (ok but why do i want to do this? ok sometimes you want your pc to start faster, or maybe your pc was starting faster when it comes to you but after a while it start to open your desktop slowly, so this tutorial you may want to know how to make your pc /lp login faster
)
i think you know how to do it but its not wrong to share some of what i know right?
ok there are 2 ways to disable or enable the program in startup windows.
first and the easiest way is from the program tool you can find a chick box next to "run program on startup" or something like that just click on it and then it will be disable to run the program on windows startup.
the second is the better way to do it
step 1 -----
click on
Start --> Run
step 2 -----
write down "msconfig" then hit the Enter button on your keyboard
step 3 -----
it will open a {system Configuration Utility} window
go to the {startup} on the tap menu
step 4 -----
unmark the marked box or click in the chick box to make it empty of the program you dont want to let it start when you start your windows. for example if you dont want yahoo messenger to be open when you login to your windows account. click the chick box next to yahoo messenger, then click ok, after that it will tell you if you want to restart you computer try and click yes if you have free time and then when the pc restart and login to your windows account you will see that yahoo messenger is not open and still closed tell you click on yahoo messenger icon to let it open
hope i helped you
