if your asking this question then let me tell you that open source software is a program that it's free to use and the code of the program can be see by users. it helps to develop the programs faster because the user can edit this kind of programs. let say Linux operating system ( like windows) it use allot of codes and the users can freely edit their source / develop, and create new sources and most of the expert using it.
